Creating an imaginative, and exciting musical, physical, dance and action programme, combined Lorry Slater’s specialist skills as a successful P.E., dance and special needs teacher with her tremendous experience as a mother of four children.
Putting the EYFS principles into practice with Dinky Dancers
Recognising a need for activities which encourage 'effective learning' (EYFS) in an educational setting that combine creative, physical and musical elements, we have further developed the original Dinky Dancers’ concept to enhance and support the three 'Prime' and four 'Specific' Areas of Learning and Development outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage 2012 Statutory Framework. We will provide you with a specially designed EYFS links and Termly Overview pack for you to utilise with you own OFSTED and planning documentation.
We recognise and differentiate between varied stages of ability within our programme and allow for individual progression. Our teachers aim to provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment in which the children can contribute verbally, physically, emotionally and socially at their own pace.
Our Dinky Dancers Independent classes are specifically designed to run in the Nurseries and Pre-schools setting, whilst the Dinky Dancers All Together programme offers the opportunity for parents to join in the fun and be a part of the learning process. We recognise that cost is of importance and a variety of payment options are available to suit the needs of each setting.
Dinky Dancers provides the opportunity for both boys and girls to enjoy a carefully researched programme of dance, movement, music and action activities.
