What do we look for in a franchisee?

A potential franchisee must enjoy working with children and have the ability to relate to parents.

In addition there are qualities that make franchisees into ‘Active Creative’ franchisees:

• Knowledge of movement in some form i.e. dance, gymnastics, P.E or sport
• Energy, enthusiasm & confidence- we enjoy our jobs and give 100%
• Good interpersonal skills – talking, explaining and being friendly are all part of running an Active Creative franchise
• Determination and self-motivation – An Active Creative franchise can be financially very rewarding and provide a wonderful sense of job satisfaction - we expect a lot but you’ll get a lot too!
• Business minded
• Good level of health & fitness

Our current franchisees are from all sorts of backgrounds!

Typically, our franchisees are mothers who have experience of young children. Having said this, applicants who can multi–task, think on their feet and hop and jump - all at the same time would also be most welcome!

Applicants do not need to have had any movement or music training, but ideally should have a background in physical activity in some form. Our current franchisees and teachers started in life as dancers, gymnasts, P.E teachers, primary school teachers, aerobics instructors, nannies, musicians, office managers and nursery nurses.

Active Creative franchisees are bright, enthusiastic, energetic, well organised and have good presentation skills.

Any experience in business/advertising or administration also helps but is not a pre-requisite.

The questions you must ask yourself above and beyond any experience or formal qualifications are:

Do you have confidence, enthusiasm and interpersonal skills – Active Creative Ltd is a customer service business, are you friendly and a good communicator?

Are you self-motivated and committed to build the business and maintain the high standards of the programme? Are you business-minded – can you identify and resolve difficulties, organise, plan and make decisions?
